It seems a bit odd to note a game as being fun as isn’t the idea of playing games to engage in something fun? While yes it is these games that will be featured this month are designed to get you to laugh while playing. They are silly, quick to play, and easy to learn.

What are the features of a fun game? Typically most fun games have relatively easy mechanics, such as play a card to fill in a prompt, or do a hand motion when something specific is played. It’s nothing too difficult but if you forget you can lose points. Often the games have silly playful elements to them as well.

Most fun games can be played with two to six players, though there are some that cross into party games (which we will talk about later this year). Most fun games are card based, or use a mix of cards and tokens. They are easy to bring with you and won’t take up much space on your shelf.

Further for those who tend to take on the bulk of caretaking responsibilities having a laugh can help with managing stress and ensuring you are feeling your best as you care for those around you.
