Nature Themed Games

Understanding the balance of nature can be difficult. Though we try to teach this well in science classes that isn’t always the best way for us to learn about habitats and cycles of nature. Going into nature can be a wonderful way to learn and explore, but not everyone has access to nature.

There are many nature based games that use the idea of balancing natural resources and ensuring that you have what is needed to help pull on this theme. While many of these games are not scientific in nature they can help to start conversations about themes. Nature themed games use our natural environment to help demonstrate balance.

The games featured for March of 2026 will all have a nature theme. We will explore these games and what themes of nature they explore and how we can use the game mechanics to better understand our own need for balance of resources.

While playing these games is fun, they are not a substitute for learning! Hopefully they can help to captivate the imagination and curiosity to continue learning and growth.
